Battery Park
Named after the cannons built to defend residents after the American Revolution. with statues and memorials in the park. Battery Park has a lovely promenade to stroll along that takes in the waterfront and has views of the harbor and the Statue of Liberty. Walking and jogging is a very popular activity here. Located on the southwestern tip of Manhattan.

A wildlife haven is a rare find in New York City, but here is one. With over 635 acres of natural park and woodlands and marshes, it's a great place to watch some native wildlife and bird species. Located on the northeast of Queens Park.
New York Botanical Garden
One of the oldest and largest botanical gardens in the world, and covering 250 acres are the The New York Botanical Gardens. Located in the Bronx , these parklands are made up of 48 gardens and plant collections, as well as thousands of shrubs and trees. Staten Island Botanical Garden
The Staten Island Botanical Garden has a quaint Victorian charm in it;'s 90 acres of gardens, ponds, forests and paths.(718 273 8200)
Queens Botanical Garden
The Queens Botanical Garden covers 39 acres beautiful gardens and greenery. Located at the northeast corner of Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
Prospect Park
