A trip to New York is a real eye opener! The best way to really enjoy this city is by walking. It’s the cheapest and easiest way to really get a feeling for what New York city is like. When I went to New York we spent a day walking along 5th street . It was a truly interesting day. We saw everything from skateboarding, tourists, to the wealthy on an average shopping day. We walked down fifth Ave. and were dazzled by all of the sights, the opulent stores, and the elegance, the swanky restaurants are a real sight to behold.

Fifth ave. is the equivalent to London´s Bond Street , or Hollywood ’s Rodeo Drive . This is the New York attraction everyone wants to see. This is the street where every strange jewel, fashion accessory or designer dress is sold. Although I doubt that I could ever afford to buy anything here, it was so much fun watching the eccentric people walk in and out of the stores.
I came to find out that fifth Ave. goes all the way from Harlem to Greenwich Village, but the most interesting walk is that between Central Park and 42nd street . The store fronts impressed me and there are things that I never imagined existed or that the could cost so much. This is a great street to walk to get the feel of what the wealthy do on an every day shopping trip.
